Defrag.NSF+ works just as well to improve performance if running Domino in a virtual environment,
This comes up from time to time so we refer customers to the vSphere's own product documentation.
VMWare have recently updated their latest documentation for vSphere 7.0 to also reflect the recommendation of defragging the Guest OS to improve performance.
The bottom line is the less I/O the Operating System needs to deal with the better.
