I think it goes to show what a fantastic job Ed did in 'keeping the dream' alive, because it sure has been a very very quite 6 months.
Connect is next week, maybe IBM will ship Hawthorne. It would of made a difference last year and surely stopped numerous Domino downgrades. Last year I witnessed the attempted extermination of over 400 Domino servers - strangely most of those customers are still in a world of pain, all had massive budget blowouts, all continued on their jihad irrespectively. You have got to wonder where the hatred comes from, but the love of the Outlook client is strong.
I hope Connect shines some light. To everyone that's going, enjoy and please share what you see and hear.

Agree, there is nobody else that have the confidence to lead after Ed regarding communicating real value with Business Partners like me.
It's not just about a love of Outlook, but also about a positive hatred of the Lotus Notes client. There's a huge weight or argument for and against, (we've all had discussions about that), but the fact is that Lotus Notes can very easily become slow and cumbersome if it isn't carefully maintained by experts in the field. Depending on the customer's relationship with Microsoft, Exchange is very expensive, and the migration costs are significant too, but for some businesses, a mail migration to Google Apps makes a lot of sense. I've led migrations to both Exchange and Google and can confirm that a Google migration is much less painful.
Sadly, I'm not going to Connect this year I've had a "heads up" about one of the announcements which will be made, and I can assure you that this will be very attractive to those considering migrating their mail away from Notes....
