Our free FTI Viewer just paid for itself again!

So I loaded up our FTI Viewer to check on the state of the Full Text indexes on one of our mail servers and spotted this:

A quick glance shows things aren’t right, because the FTI is nearly as large as the database and we can see at a glance that filters were not used when it was created. We’ve written about this before and it is never a good idea

To fix the problem I simply switched over to the Optimizer and asked it to rebuild the index with filters at a particular time/date.

And then voilà, the FTI is back in shape, nice and small. 

I wonder what the FTI viewer can show you regarding your servers. Why don't you take a look ?
