Back in November 2023 we launched the Full-Text Management feature in the Domino Optimizer.
Well, every time we've put it to the test, we've uncovered some quirky surprises or found a few things that needed a little tweaking. That's why we've decided to share the love and make its reporting function available to all as the Domino FTI Viewer—absolutely free!
So, what can you expect from the Domino FTI Viewer? Here's a sneak peek:
- 📂 A comprehensive list of all databases with a full-text index.
- 📎 Insight into whether the index includes attachments.
- 🔍 Confirmation that attachments are indexed with a filter (the best way to do it!).
- 📏 A look at the size of the database and its index. You might be amazed to discover that sometimes the index is bigger than the database itself!
- 📅 The date the index was created.
- 📈 A view of how much the index has grown over time (just re-run Catalog Databases).
The Domino FTI Viewer offers a taste of the features found in the Domino Optimizer, which includes even more powerful FTI capabilities like alerts and scheduled rebuilds with customized settings.
