It's no wonder why we are losing to other systems like Microsoft look how clunky the notes app looks in Outlook.People are attracted to shiny and new and Notes \ Domino still looks old.
@Jay the Notes app wasn't designed to be in Outlook. It is also the classic design style. That database has an XPages look and feel, which is very different.
