It was great to see the first fix pack for version 14.5, as I hoped it would enable me to use the Mac Client again. Unfortunately, despite the release notes indicating support for macOS 26 (Tahoe), this is not the case.
On my client, the application functions properly upon the first launch. However, if you close the client, it hangs during subsequent startups. The only solution is to restart the Mac.
This issue is documented in this technote, and I was informed today that there is no estimated timeline for a fix. That’s all a bit disappointing.

Adam I am using the Mac client on various different machines and getting exactly the same issues that you flag up here. I am also seeing an interesting issue with the Client 14.5 FP1 when it is running. When I open an email there is a tangible delay before the body of the message displays. This seems to be the same regardless of which mac machine I am running it from or what the quality of the underlying network is like. Have you seen anything similar?
Hi, sorry for the delay. I stopped using the client until today (15 October 2025). I just update to macOS 26.1 beta 3 and everything is working again.
I can confirm/made the same observation - HCL Notes 14.5FP1 works again (can be quit / launch without OSX restart) on Tahoe 26.1 Beta 3. Thanks for the tip
Had the same issue hang after quitting Notes in Tahoe 26.0.1 .
I then tried to downgrade to 14FP4 but I still have the issue: I think I will have to reinstall the Notes client from scratch
You need to get to Tahoe 26.1 betas to make it work, there is a bug in Tahoe 26.0.1 that is causing the problem. I am not aware of any work-a-round.
I reinstalled the client after downgrading from 14.5SP1 to 14SP4, but I still have the issue. Even a 14FP4 does hangs after closing the application
I have it (14.5 sp1) working OK on the latest Beta 25B5072a of Tahoe but I still get long delays when going into a message before it displays.
