It's time to recap three fantastic feature releases and free utilities from last year!
1. The Notes.ini Viewer
The Notes.ini Viewer offers a streamlined way to access and review your server’s Notes.ini file with just a single click. It not only provides a clear view of this essential configuration file but also highlights key lines using colour-codes, ensuring that important settings are easy to identify and manage. See all the details here -> https://ab1osborne.blogspot.com/2024/08/introducing-our-new-notesini-viewer.html
This functionality is embedded in The Domino Optimizer and also available for free with our Notes.ini Viewer.
2. Full Text Index view and management
As they say, "You don't know what you don't know" and the fact is, it is highly likely that your full-text indexes are out of control! The Domino Optimizer now records the initial size of an FTI, making it easy to spot growth and be alerted to it. You can then easily schedule a rebuild and growth alert. See https://ab1osborne.blogspot.com/2024/09/it-is-likely-that-your-full-text.html for all the details.
We also offer our free Domino FTI Viewer, to help you start your journey on Full Text Index management.
3. DAOS Search
We were super happy with this new addition, DAOS Attachment Search in the Domino Database Optimizer. This feature allows administrators to quickly find databases containing a specific attachment by dragging it onto the search form and clicking "search." Key benefits include quick attachment searches, enhanced security against viruses, data leak detection, content monitoring, a user-friendly interface, time-saving efficiency, thorough coverage even for renamed attachments, and an audit trail for compliance. What’s not to love about this? Check it out here
Thanks for reading, until next time.
