There's a huge weight or argument for and against, (we've all had discussions about that), but the fact is that Lotus Notes can very easily become slow and cumbersome if it isn't carefully maintained by experts in the field. Depending on the customer's relationship with Microsoft, Exchange is very expensive, and the migration costs are significant too, but for some businesses, a mail migration to Google Apps makes a lot of sense.
